I posted a while back about this and now I am getting ready to order a wastegate but I am getting conflicting info lately. Especialy from the venders on the internet outside of this site. Most say the Tial f38 is too small for my car and it will creep bad but that is the one recommended from feedback here. I will be running a Turbosmart controller. I also need to choose spring pressure if I go with the 38 tial. Any suggestions on the best place to find a good deal? My combo is in my sig and I usually run around 21 psi. Atr d/p by the way.

The tial 38mm will work for you. I just installed one and I love it. Insta spool off the line. The rule of thumb for spring pressure is do not run more than 2 times the boost than spring #'s. Example: I have a 14 lb spring which times two is 28lbs. I run alky and 22-25 psi. A smaller spring will open up on you sooner. Also run the air regulator to adjust your boost.

Thanks for the info. I thought it would be o/k but wanted to check. What do you mean buy air regulator? I will be buying an Innovative E-Boost controller if that matters. Thanks, Tim

I am not sure about that. I have always used an air regulator.

You branch off of a tee form the compressor side of the turbo and send the air thru the regulator to the top port of the WG. The straight part of the tee goes to the bottom port of the WG. By doing this you keep pressure on the the spring above its specified # rating and keep it closed until you reach a higher pressure. Its a balance thing I guess. I hope Patrick will chime in and give a better explanation.
