Can I still post questions??...lol. I've got a 91 mustang with a built 306 that has 10.5:1 compression pistons. I decided I would try a blower out on it. I know that the compression is not ideal for the supercharger and I am having problems winding the motor out now. Theres alot of torque in the lower rpms but up past 4,500 and the motor just doesnt feel right. I'm not sure if it's detonating or what. My car is pretty loud so listening for deton. is kind of hard. I bought a BTM and it seems to help a little but I need more.
I guess my question is: What does water/alky injection do? I've asked around quite a few mustang sites and more than one person directed me to this site. Would water injection help my setup since I have higher compression? I realize that the water cools the intake charge. What else does it do? Could I run just water or does everyone run the alky mix?
I'm only running the 6# pulley.....
