My 84 had hydroboost and converted to vacuum, getting a new vacuum canister and master cylinder from an 84 Regal with a 4 bl.
New brake pedal, new calipers, etc. The front line on my car is a 3/16th and the back one is a little bigger. The new master cylinder was just the opposite. If I would have swapped lines they would have fit perfect, but I got adapters and kept the front line in the front. Could that master cylinder be different?
I also could not get the brake fluid to come out the passenger side front very well. Not a good stream (when bleeding) and wouldn't close the calipers until I started the car. It will hardly hold the car at the line under boost.
Any advice? thanks.

Yes the line size is important! The large resevoir is for the rear and the small side is for the front. The master send different amounts of fluid to them. You have to switch the front to the back and vice versa for the other on that swap.

So just to make sure. Take the adapters off and put my original front smaller line on the back of the MC and the bigger one on the front. The MC I swapped (a non injected 84) is opposite of my 84.
I'm going to try to make it to the races tomorrow afternoon, so I want to make sure I get it right. It sure seems to make sense.
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks guys,
I'll swap, bleed and then off to the races. I'm thinking I can break into the 12's with this hot air beast.

Thanks for the advice. I did the switch and they worked great and the new line lock is sweet.
Thanks,
Mike
