Weak fuel pump

Ok guys im running 20 lbs boost w/alky an gain is at 8 an getting kr.
So I put my fuel press on an do a wot pull an see I'm only get 57-58 lbs. So a older buddy who has a Gn also tells me just up my pump 10 lbs above 42lbs what I have it set at now.
So does this sound right? or is my pump just weak. Also plugs were white as a ghost.

Also now I see my pump won't hold pressure. As soon as I turn my car off it falls down to 20lbs.

I wouldn't up the fuel pressure any. My car was like that and it would fall flat on its face when I punched it from a roll. Plus with the pressure bleeding off I would say bite the bullet and get a new fuel pump. Its not that hard to change and the fuel system is not something to leave to chance. You can have my old one when I get my 416 pump in the near future lol.
