weird idle

Car idles weird in OD when its hot but when I put it in park its fine. Any help would be Awesome!!!!!! I'm more of a History buff then I am a mechanic.

Do you have a scantool for the car? When our cars have idle issues usually the IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) just needs to be readjusted.

Nope but it has a Turbo tweak chip and it gets really hot in Texas. How could I adjust it without a scan tool. Thanks. For the Help

Go to your user controls and add a location. Someone near you may be able to help.

You need a scan tool in order to adjust the IAC correctly. Good luck- Brad

Look in the achives. It's not that hard to adjust but a scan tool would make it easier. It will cause the car to run rough if it's out of adjustment. Can you better describe the issue you are having?

It only starts to idle rough when I drive it for about a hour in Hot Weather 100 and above but mostly in stop and go traffic. Thanks for all the help
