Going to get a set of new ( or used ) weld wheels and I can't decide on the draglites or the prosatrs. I've always liked the draglites on about everything I've seen them on, but at the Nats this year I saw a bunch of TR's running the prostars and I really liked those. So, which do you like? Which one is easier to polish with fewer " nicks and crannies" to have to contend with? Thanks!!

Neither, the Rodlites look best. :)

If I had to choose between the wheels you mentioned I'd go Pro Stars. :)

By driving them on the street like thoey should be able to handle but don't. He isn't the first and won't be the last one to have that happen. Seen plenty of them cracked.

Does Weld do anything if you contact them about the problem, or are you basically out of luck?

Only if they are still under warranty. They are very aware of the problem but they insist it is from abuse. The rims are designed for strait line only and no pot holes so it pretty much rules out any street driving. Use them on a dragster and you will never have a problem.

Sounds like you need the ones with the solid billet centers like i just bought. i have never seen these kinds of cracks before and ran welds for 5 years.

I have 4 "hose racks" (pro stars) to !!!!....warrenty ???? ya right...street car my daughter drives !!!!lasted less than a month.....2 15X5's an 2 15X6's...she now has "49_blues " old weld rims...no problems :D

and i think the warrenty for stuff like that is only like 30 days... for out of round.. and 90 for anything else, thats what they told me when i called them up to bitch...

Maybe I'll pass on the prostars! The streets around here wouldn't be very kind to them. Pot holes you could loose a VW in! I've got Eagle Alloys on now, the one's that are solid ( polished ) like the Centerlines, but getting tired of the look and need a change.

Rodlites will crack too. I have one in my attic right now . Everytime i go up there i get so pissed off. No warranty on that one either...

so, i cant say i know what these rodlites looklike off the top of my head.. can some one show me a picture of them on a TR?

thanks

ah man, i love those wheels, i saw them on a chevelle at a car show a while ago, but i didnt know what wheels they were... i dont think i would put them on my GN, but in a couple years i plan on starting a project truck in a couple years, and i think those would look good on a 64-84 chevy or GMC truck..
