1970 Pontiac GTO. I got it when I was 20 for $1,200. It had a 400 BB in it with leaky everything. When I showed it to my dad he just shook his head in that "not again" kind of way. This was after my 84 T which we spent many hours and dollars on fixing it every time I blew it up.

I pulled the motor and sent the block off to be bored out. I got it out to a 502 and didnt think about how thin the walls would be and started building it up. When it was finished it was fast, really fast. I was very happy with it until the tranny pump blew out. I replaced it with a TH400 and it went well. I didnt even get a chance to bring it to a track and run it.

It blew up and I didnt have the money to fix it so it had to go. :(

So many to choose from, but I will have to go with my 1975 Dodge Royal Monaco (same car as cop cars from Blues Brothers)
I bought it for $50. It had no reverse and leaked at least a quart of oil a day. I knew it was time to add when it started knocking and shaking. Right after I bought it the rear brake line blew. Well you know what that meant...lots of tire smoke. The speedo didnt work so I put one of those $20 sun tachs in it so I could guess my speed. This car was indestructable, I couldnt jump, beat, or rev this car do death!!! The best is when the rear tire blew during a burnout. The car was at about 6k RPM in third gear;) That made quite a mess of the 1/4 panel:eek:
The stuff we do when we are kids

As silly as it sounds, my 1980 Malibu wagon was one of the most fun cars I have owned. I didn't have to worry about it getting door dinged, rear-ended, hailed on, etc... I just drove the car. It had a carbed 305 in it and was a real dog. But, one morning on my way to work I pulled up to a stoplight by a base model Beretta with two high schoolers in it. I was in the right lane and they were in the left. They were creeping up to the light and I assumed they wanted to get the jump on me because the local high school was on the right hand side of the road about a 1/4 mile from the stoplight. Just for fun, I loaded the tired 305 up against the brakes and let it rip when the light turned green. I caught them sleeping and actually pulled away from them until we shut it down around 60 mph. When I looked over, the kid in the passenger seat was laughing uncontrollably and the driver looked upset. :) Here is a pic of the car:

I would defintely have to say the TRs I own now! Although I have owned many through the years! A close second is probably my 72 Olds Cutlass. Took the car every where. Even had it to the GS Nationals one year. I also won my first drag racing trophy bracket racing it at a local 1/8 mile track. Loved that old car! ;)

sad to say, an '87 Pontiac Fiero GT. Fully loaded except leather int. Handled GREAT ('cept in rain), never broke down, got 20mpg in town, coldest A/C I've ever seen, only complaint is the shifter which was due to a bad slave cylinder. Sold it because I bought a new daily driver, the GN:rolleyes: . Miss that thing!

Hmm... had alot of cars but the 70 nova was the best. Only car I ever owned that was not a pos that car never broke and it went to hell and back several times. The local shop knew me well as every friday after school I would be up to get the $20 set of used tires special buy the next friday riding on the cords again!!
had an lt1 out of a 70 camaro 350/360hp a 400 turbo and a 12 bolt from a 69 camaro. man ..... I out ran the fuzz threw fields in that car. Silly. No rich punk and his new 5.0 mommy and daddy bought could touch it. :D I could give em the break and past em before they got out of 2nd still balling the tires.

DAMM ... anyone in severna park MD area see a ice blue 70 ss nova get the owners name / number and call or pm me. I sold it to a guy named Eric something. I need it back.:( will pay $100.00 to ya for the info if it's the right car.
black bucket seat interior car. tach dash and full gauge center console with a B&M star shifter. has the old school cragger ss wheels.

My 1991 Nissan 300 ZX twin turbo. Great highway car. ever did find the top end of that car. And there were only 300 TT's that were Pearl Yellow! Quite rare.

I had an '84 Subaru Brat. With the lift-up T-tops, sliding rear window, jump seats in the rear, cream colored with redish stripes. What a tank in the snow, almost unstoppable, even in 2wd. That was a fun car for the rust-bucket they were. Can't hardley hurt them.

87 suzuki samuria 4x4,

was a junkyard drop off that the owner must have felt was ready for the crusher
couldnt see how anyone could use it on the highway even though it was legal for NJ roads when i got it but its great offroad

4cylinder manual , nothing seems to stop it , its great for making trails where none existed and once your in they seem to disappear ,

I modified it to jeep style removable doors and equipped with a 6 in steel front bumper for the larger trees

had so much fun with this one now i have three of them

85 Cutlass Salon

Out of all the cars I have had, that one was the most fun so far. It was just one of the best sleepers of all time. An 85 Cutlass Salon .. T-Tops, fully loaded with every creature comfort available. Purchased the car of $250 with a locked up 307 in it. First order of biz was to shoe horn a 455 olds filled with a bunch of goodies from Mondello. I did a lot of wheeling and dealing for parts that went on that car. Trade the factory rear and tranny for a 8.5 out of a 86 442. When the car was finished it had a 455, turbo 400, 3500 TCI nitrous converter, and 373s. The car ran a consistant 12.31 at 103 mph on pump gas and the best thing of all ...when it was all said and done I had less than $1500 in it. Wish I could say that for the GN I have now.

1978 CJ 5

with a "massaged" 403 and a factory 3 speed manual. With 33 x 12.5 16 monster mudders. Soft top. In 2nd gear the thing would pull the left front tire off the ground (just a little bit) but back then it was atleast a foot off the ground:D haha.

The chicks loved it at the lake:cool:

My 48 quart cooler fit right behind the back seat for easy access.

Definitely my Turbocharged 99 Mustang GT.

It was one of the first 99 GTs to hit Long island. I bought it the first night I saw it and drove it home the next day. After a year of bolt-ons I installed a Vortech V2 S-trim and the car ran 12.75 @ 113 mph in the summer on street tires my very first pass at the track, which happened to be against a stock 89 TTA ( have video on computer).

I lost 2 Camaros on DPA in one night, 1 99 SS with 100 shot and the other was a 97 Z28 with T-trim. My ego was hurt and I read that TDC(Turbo Driven Concepts) was testing a Prototype kit for the 4.6. My friend owned a shop where Job Spetter JR. tuned some of the Mustangs with DFI and he knew the owner of TDC. I receved the prototype kit at cost to try out and we ordered it with the ITS T-76. At 6 psi, my car made 388 rwhp & 427 rwtq through the automatic at Atco on a 95 degree day.

After some time talking to Job, we decided to install an Aeromotive fuel system, Accel Gen 6 DFI, 66 lb inj. & MSD Ignition. We received an invite by Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, whom rented Englishtown for the day, to bring the car because it was the first turbocharged 4.6 they heard about. The first pass with the new street tune from Job Jr., the car went 10.92 @ 122.95 mph with 93 octane+3 gals. of 110 on the bone stock longblock, transmission, rear, axles, etc. This was at 16 psi and we turned up the boost to 20 for the next pass, but was told my day was over because of a lack of safety equipment.

My car ended up on the cover of the April 2004 MM&FF magazine and they did a several page article on me and the car with the picture of my car covering 2 pages and the front wheels off the ground.

It was an experience I will never forget and I still get respect from all of the guys on the mustang boards and locally. I was lucky enough to have met people that were the best at what they did and they provided tremendous support.

Sorry for the long post.

Marc

66 Chevelle- 454 supercharged, too many magazine features to list. Owned for 20 years and sold it to buy my GN because it didn't have a back seat and we were expecting a child. Wish I still had it. I believe it is somewhere in NY but lost touch with the owner. Only made one pass at Maple Grove Raceway at a Super Chevy show. 12.73 at 118 spinning the tires half way down the track.
