1970 Pontiac GTO. I got it when I was 20 for $1,200. It had a 400 BB in it with leaky everything. When I showed it to my dad he just shook his head in that "not again" kind of way. This was after my 84 T which we spent many hours and dollars on fixing it every time I blew it up.
I pulled the motor and sent the block off to be bored out. I got it out to a 502 and didnt think about how thin the walls would be and started building it up. When it was finished it was fast, really fast. I was very happy with it until the tranny pump blew out. I replaced it with a TH400 and it went well. I didnt even get a chance to bring it to a track and run it.
It blew up and I didnt have the money to fix it so it had to go.
