What Alternator to buy

I just bought the alternator for the Chevy Impala SS. My question is there were 2 sizes. Both were 140amps. The sizes were 130mm and 144mm. I bought the 130 size. Is this correct?????

I could be mistaken, but most alternators I've seen on these cars are stamped CS144 (case size 144) Not sure if there would be any fitment problems with the 130 size.

Well I really could use confirmation here as I just installed the 130mm one and the voltage on my scanmaster says about 11.8 under load to 13.0 at start up.

I'm also going to be connecting an amp for the radio soon, so I'd like to be sure I have the 140amp and not something less.

Does anyone know 100%, or how can I check?

Well I just found out that I installed the 105 amp (130amp), instead of the 140 amp. Man, am I pissed. Well I guess I need to bring it back and get the 144mm.
