Im tryin to put my car back together and now I cant find the original bolts that held the downpipe up against the turbo. So I grabbed a metric bolt, (the same size that screws into the intake) and the bolt slides right in no problem on two of the exhaust housing holes. Specificly the two lower spots on either side of the waste gate puck. The same bolt will not thread into the other two upper holes. It actually screwed up the bolt when I tried to persuade it a bit. Is it possible that the turbo uses different bolts or should I just go ahead and tap the upper two with a metric tap, the same size as the two lowers? ----Incase ur wondering I was unable to get more than a turn on a standard bolt on those upper holes. Ready to jump off a bridge with this car! Please help.

I believe the bolts I use to attach my Mease (TH style) downpipe to my Precision turbine housing are allen head M8x1.25 and 30mm long. All 4 are the same.

You just might need to chase the threads out a bit since corrosion in the threads in the turbine housing can be pretty nasty.

sticky u were exactly right.

Bought a $ 6.00 tap ran it thru 2-3 times and a ton of junk came out. Antiseezed the new bolts and its all bolted up. Thanx. Its usually the obvious things that drive me crazy.
