what awg wire recommended for gauge installation ?

hey guys,.... im about to redo my entire gauge setup and i was wondering what gauge wire i should buy.. i was thinking something like 12 gauge for the peanut bulbs.. is that too big?

what about for the power/ground/signal wires themselves? 16ga?

i need to know this before i get some wire off delcity.com...

I have gauges on the pillar, center above the mirror, and console and I'm running them all with 22 gauge Radio shack wire.

18-22 gauge excepting an ammeter install which nobody but Zap uses anymore anyway.

I prefer 18 gauge since I got a bunch for free.

what salvage says. 18ga stranded should be fine and easy to work with.
