I want to buy some 15" by 8" rims, and 28" rubber for my GN, what is the best backspacing for the rear, and front using 15" by 6"? My car has no frame or body modifications.

4" Backspacing is ideal on an 8" wheel on one of our cars. Unfortunately, you're not likely to find this on most off-the-shelf wheels. If you're getting some custom wheels, it's easy, but with most companies, you'll either have to get a 3.5" or a 4.5". The 3.5" will work...I've run that in the past. I prefer a 4.5" BS, but I typically install the thicker aluminum brake drums along with a 3/8" spacer to center the wheel. HTH

centerline TELSTARS 15X8 4 inch BS. They will work on the rear with any drums.

Thanks for the response MIB. I should have mentioned those, since I run them on my car as well. :)

Weld measures their BS differently than other companies like American Racing for example and are .5" off one way or the other compared to normal. I believe they are .5" over. I have 4.5 BS on 15x8 Weld Prostars with 28x9 slicks and steel drums and they fit perfectly. Don't need to roll lips or notch the frame rails. With a wider tire 3.5" may be the better option and roll the lips if needed.

3.5 is the best fit on 8 inch

Read John Wildes post. He had some slight problems trying to run MT 275/60's DR using prostars. I have prostars TT, centerlines GN and modified Gn's GN. I can run a street 275/60 on the prostars with the 3.5 BS but I cannot run the 275/60 MT DR without rubbing on the lip.
