I have a 81 4.1 block. I think I am going to rebuild it. But I don't have a crank nor rods for it. I think it would be easier finding a complete motor and having everything there to be rebuilt rather then having to take chance buying a crank and rods over the net.
So I have been calling around looking for an 83-84 4.1 and no one doesn't know what they came in.
I have been looking into using chevy 350 pistons and made a couple of calls and it looks like it might be possiable. That would make the cost a little less. But the machine shop wants the block crank and rods to see if it can be done. I'm not about to rip mine down so I can steal the crank and rods out of them. I need to find another 4.1.
