My cigarette lighter fuse keeps blowing and my radio, power antenna, and hood light went out-

Anyone know what causes this fuse to blow every so often? If anyone knows, I appreciate it much

Looks like your lighter socket is grounding out. I bet if you disconnect the lighter your problem will disappear

Probably the wire that goes under the console... I forget where it goes.. ashtray maybe??... or light under the shift applique? they are notorious for shorting under there and blowing the lighter fuse. I'd check there first...

Yep..

that idea gets my vote..:D

My lighter causes the fuse to blow too. Seems a new lighter cures the problem for about a year at a time. I've also repaired that wire in the center console, too. I think when that wire shorts out, the dash lights and tail lights go out.
