I am running a TA-49, roller cam smaller comp cam, ported and polished heads with bigger valves, intake is port matched, 62 throttle body, 37 injectors, 3 inch down pipe, trans has been rebuilt, hotwire kit, going to put alky on it, and also have turbo tweak chip. Stock D-5 right now.Was thinking of getting some thing that stalled around 2800/3000 not sure if this to much or just go with a restalled D-5 , Have looked at PTS and Pats convertors but would like to know what you guys might think?

I would go with something in the 2600/2800 L/U range. 3000 would be a little much with your setup.

I wouldn't run a modified D5 or anything that big...check out edge converters, look at getting a 2800 9.5 inch street edge. Still a lock up converter, works great on the street. It is light as hell compared to a D5 so you are freeing up rotating mass of the drivetrain tremendously. The price is unbeatable for the quality you will get. %575.00
