What did you do to your GN today?

Put on UMI performance's rear upper shock brace. Got rid of some more squeaks!
As a sidenote, and not that I have money to burn, but I gave my mechanic a $10 tip over and above what the shop charge was. He took his time, found a leaky fuel filter( as he was looking the car over) -- it was just replaced last week , BTW, and whatever few fingerprints he left he wiped them off. And he put up with my ass watching him . I am going there the next time I need something done. -- and the shop owner guarantees he will be the only one to touch it.

Started it up a little while ago to check my RJC cam sensor fix repair kit installation i did this morning. All is well.

I went and bought EZ Off and Castrol Super Clean to clean the frame once I strip it down. Pulled it out of the shop to hit it with the Hotsie quick to get the fluids off from pulling the engine and trans, and found the Hotsie took everything to bare metal all on its own...God I love that thing. It's my favorite man toy hands down. $50 in cleaning supplies can go back and I think I can save the money budgeted to blast the frame before welding it up.

^ We had a Hotsie in our jet shop for a long time till it blew up, nothing like blowing out the nacelles that were being rebuilt with that thing, spotless with a touch of soap.

Sinc this car is new (to me) I don't really trust the fuel gauge. Filled it up one evening after the cruise in, and sure enough the gauge was correct. BUT, the next day the Little RedHead says, " Honey, the garage smells funny ". Sooooooooooo, I goes to investigate. *Sniff* *Sniff*. Hmmmmm....... Smells like gasoline. Look around, no puddles. Flip down license plate and run my hand along the upper flange of the gas tank. It's wet!! And smells like ....... gas. Ruh Roh!! Time to visit the trusty mechanic. Thinking it was the o ring between the pump and the tank ( since the pump was replaced in the past) I bought one on the way.
Dropped the tank at the shop. Pump area dry as the proverbial bone. But, at the base of the filler neck it was wet and you could see where it had been leaking. Cleaned it up with some solvent and a soft wire brush and found a teeny-weeney crack at the neck's base. Applied some JB weld, and got a new gas cap. Fixed!! Now, my world is a happy place!! No, I'm not as weird as I sound...... But my daughter laughs and disagrees. What do kids know, anyway.... But at my age, practically everybody's a kid.

Dropped a stock motor in my car. Putting it back mostly stock getting it ready to sell.

Trying to finish some gauges and electrical switches / under dash wiring on the Regal. Also did some winterizing on the runabout before the cold weather starts happening.

Installed a new neutral start / backup light switch, had to adjust it to get the backup lights to operate properly,very easy to adjust which was a good thing considering it's location.

Installed a new headlight dimmer switch on the steering column under the dash. Now that was a pain getting to those 2 little 8mm headed screws. If i thought i was ever going to have to replace that again i would replace those screws with 2 little studs and nuts to make things simpler next time.

Replaced the in dash headlight and dimmer switches. I did these due to the age and try to prevent bad things from happening at the worst of times.

I had to remove my driver side seat to allow me to get up under the dash to do this stuff and to get to the fuse block.

Roc87 and myself replaced his upper control arms with some tubulars and put his sway bar back in and then worked on my heater and got it working. Here they both are. Mine on the left!

A week b4 i do the 60Lbs injectors and TT chip along with the Walbro 350 pump and HW kit! I was really happy with how clean she is underneath! Thank You Roc87 for helping with the injectors!

Since alot of people are off from work for the Holidays, I thought some of you guys spent some time working on your GN...So What did you do today? As for me i pulled the engine getting ready for another rebuild and when the rebuild is done i will be installing a Razor Alky, Racetronix Double pumper and a new Transmission...

Today i stared at my 90% complete 87 Turbo T WE4, i weeped a moment when i realized i do not have the knowledge to fix it myself, or the resources to get it done. But it looks good

Well it was time to get the GN buffed out. Had a buddy do it, it his side business. It did and still has some flaws but alot less now.

Here it is in his garage about 6 hrs into it!

Here it is back home in its own garage. It was a total of 11 hrs.

My blinkers died on the way to the outlet mall in Westbrook.

Fuse of course was good, luckily it was just an old (stock?) Wagner flasher that died at 210K miles.

Found the one from my 1970 Olds Cutlass and threw it in there and I can flash again.

Took about 30 minutes to troubleshoot and the flasher was already hanging down off the bracket.
