If I make a WOT pass with the converter unlocked, then the boost stays pegged on 20 psi. If I make the next pass with the converter locked, changing nothing else, then the boost climbs a pound or two and flutters, kinda like I'm feathering the throttle (obvious fluttering sound from filter). If I crank the boost past 21-22 psi and make a WOT pass, with the converter again locked, the fluttering goes away??? I was using the OE wastegate solenoid with a bleeder and thought this might be the cause of the fluttering, so I removed the WG solenoid from the loop and used only a bleeder.....no change. Seems as though locking the OE converter is creating enough drag to elicit 1-2 psi more boost, but what in the he11 does the locked converter have to do with the fluttering, any ideas??? BTW, this little problem was present with the OE turbo and WG actuator as well as with the new TE44 with HD WG actuator I just installed???
