What chip are you using?I have the older version with just two dials, one for idle and one for WOT. What settings does your car like best? Also at what rpm (or tps?) does the translator consider you to be at WOT?
Extender.What chip are you using?
The fact that your Translator has two knobs doesn't mean it is old. They still market that product as far as I know. They used to also market one called Translator Plus. It gave us control of timing also. It has 4 adjustment knobs. If you had a Translator with 4 adjustment knobs you could call it old.Extender.

Your Translator doesn't know anything that is going on with your engine except for the amount of air entering it. When it sees a certain amount of airflow,it considers the engine to be operating at WOT and gives it a certain amount of fuel based on the program and adjustment knob.
I dont think that it would matter? Just adjusting the percentages just skews the computers calculations to add that much or take away that much fuel no? Just assuming how it would logically work. So even while running it wouldn't matter.i think that is not advisable to change translator option with the engine running...
