nice

its a nice 87 with a 84 motor with a spearco intercooler setup

brent

40 feet of piping.. its a spearco.

well not really 40 feet.. but its a spearco

ive been thinking...i could go w/ the spearco and get a te-33 and some bigger injectors and headers and do my intake and heads for like 3000-3300 but for that money i could swap to an 87 engine and have plenty of money to spare and probably be equally as fast not to mention more reliable....either way im gonna start saving my $$ now and hopefully when the time comes ill know what to do w/ it

oh an BTW it is not an 87 w/ an 84 engine its an 84 w/ 87 rims/grill....and thanks for identifying that I/C for me

Well just to give you an idea firebird....

Here is what my dad and I did with my Spearco setup that I had on my 84 GN. I wrecked the car and had time to think and design it out. I'm sure the car has 12.80's in it, but has gone a best of 13.40@98 mph. The combo has a lot of room for improvement basically because I have had no time to take the car to the track due to college. We saved about an extra 5.5 feet of piping mounting the intercooler this way and my dad had access to a machine shop with some metal forming machines and we turned out the nifty aluminum shroud and that was that. The project took about 2 weeks from planning on how we were going to route the new pipes and then actually cutting the spearco pipes up. Then we started fitting the pipes up, buying the new intercooler flexible hoses for the joints and then rolling the beads on the new pipes so the boost wouldnt keep blowing the hoses off and screwing up my hoodinsutor.

this site is

shows both the restoration on the car and the work on the intercooler might find something interesting there.
