What gears for new 9" rear?

I have a new 9" rear I will be installing sometime this summer...the rear currently has 3.25 gears. I am now running a 28" tire (295/55-R15 M/T DR) and am wondering if I should move up to maybe 3.55 gears or more...what are your opinions ?

No need for more gear with thses engines for most. 3.50 is as close as you can get to 3.42 and is what I ran.

3.42 are stock GN gears...stock TTA gears are 3.27 (Ford 9" gear 3.25)...thinking going from a 26" tire to a 28" tire I may need a little more?

no...just wanted to make sure that with the 28" tires I shouldn't change gears before I assemble the rear. If you guys thing the 3.25's will be best with the 28" tires than that's all I need to hear

I run the 3.50 gears in mine with the 200r trans. In the 1/4 mile I was at 4400 rpm with torque converter locked through the traps in drive at 136 mph. Don't know if you would see much difference either way. And that was with 28 inch tires.
