Caspers says if the green light is "ON" then it is OK..I dont think so....

I justv bought this car and the knock gauge never moved ,even on start up,,just a green light..
So I traced the wire from the ECM to the gauge (was connected to the yellow wire with the black stripe).

the gauge is labled A B C ,I had (previous owner had) the power wire going to the A and the signal going to C ,I think this is wrong..Caspers still says if green light is on its good..

Well the green light is on with it wired correctly and the wrong way..
Cant get it to budge on the LED no matter how hard I hit the block...
.
Any ideas... they said send it in,,they sould know if it will fry the other way..

Try hitting the knock sensor. You should get the gauge to go to yellow or red just by starting the car from the starter engageing on the flywheel.A is bat ground,B is 12v and C is signal wire to ecm yel with black stripe at ecm.:)Bottom green should be on all the time with key on.Maybe your knock sensor is bad?
