I broke the intermediate shaft on the forward drum about two weeks ago. I pulled the tranny and dismantled most of it. I'm waiting for some tools to show up I recently ordered so I can begin to clean the parts from the debris the broken part left.
I also ordered a new rebuild kit and some extra stuff needed for a full rebuild.

What hard parts are necessary for a tranny to hold up? The fastest I've been so far is 11.90. My goal is to get to 11.20's-11.30's. What billet parts would guys recommend for this power level?

Also how difficult is it really to rebuild myself? I have an ATSG manual coming along with a manual that Chris from CK performance is making. I also have a video that shows the removal of all the parts and also how to determine worn out or bad parts. It also shows how to put it back and how to test certain parts before installing.

I'm determine on learning how to build it myself.

So let me hear your suggestions and opinions!

TIA!
