Turbo with TB
Up Pipe
Turbo support / Heat shield (Can tilt it back but easier to just remove it)
Firewall heat shield (to get to the heater hose clamps)
Some Heater hoses
Fuel rail
I think that about covers 99 % of it.
I bought some injectors today. Do you have any more tips on doing this? It looks like a big pain in the rear.
... The best investment I ever made to my old '85 was a ESP Performance 84/85turbo oil drain line. They are $80(expensive), but man it was worth it.
It is not too pretty the first time out (At least for me it wasn't). It gets a lot easier from there.
1. Biggest PITA is the turbo drain tube. When you lift the turbo, try to pull striaght up, so the drain tube does not loose its form. When you re-install, make D*** SURE it is seated ALL the way. Needs to go in about 1" into the grommet. Plan on about 2-3 hours to re-install the turbo first time out.
2. Verify the injector harness right away. If the insullation is cracked, you may want to replace. Look for it at CaspersElectronics or Racetronix.
3. Start looking for the turbo adapter seals. If they are damaged, replace now, or replace later.
4. Depending on the DP, do not ruin the doughnut gasket. It may be HARD to find.
5. Do it right the first time. Otherwise, you may very well end up doing it again.
Good luck.
Edit:
While you have the turbo off, verify the pressure line and "T" in the back of the intake, below the turbo.
Where can I find the Turbo adapter seals? Locally?
