The heads are gasket matched to the Fel-Pro 1200 intake gasket, but it does not have a valley pan so my PCV is sucking oil into the intake and blowing blue smoke out the exhaust. I even had a shield welded on over the PCV but it isnt working.

Is there another gasket I can use that has the same sized ports as the 1200, but also has a valley pan??

Thanks guys!

Fel Pro MS96033 gasket is a valley pan with ports just slightly smaller than the 1200 sized ports.

I can't see why the shield and 1200's wouldn't have worked as mine is working fine but I made one as large as the complete lower intake bottom. How big is your shield..?

I've heard of cutting out the ports on a stock type intake gasket (valley pan) and using it with the 1200's . I maybe trying this when I go to put my intake back on after I finish the rebuild I'm working on .

Mark,
My shield is pretty small (about 4"X4"). I am going to try the Fel Pro that you mentioned above.

I have about 1/16+" hanging over on the sides of the ports when I did a trial fit with the Fel-Pro MS96033 .

I also wanted to ask you if the Fel Pro MS96033 gasket that you mentioned has larger ports than stock. I know you said they are slightly smaller than the 1200, so I am assuming that they are larger than the stock ports. I may be able to get away with using this gasket because the ports on the intake manifold are smaller than the ports on the head (the intake is not gasket matched to the head).

KWIKR1,
Did you end up using that gasket? Did you trim the gasket to make it fit? Thanks for your reply.

I'm undecided what I'm going to do :) . I may use the 1200's with a modified MS96033 and hope for the best . looks to me it would be kind of tricky to trim down the MS96033 to fit . Maybe with a small die grinder or something .

I am not sure of the stock gasket size.

I would guess that tin shears won't do. Dremel tool, time, and patience would get that nod. :)
