What is better? 10 fins or 11?

I bought a PT-54 and it has 10 blades on the turbine side. A buddy of mine picked up a pt54 and his has 11.
Why the difference?
They both have a Precision .63 exhaust side.

I'd try and get some info. from PTE myself.

Perhaps what's the current wheel of choice and why they are using it.

Probably emailing Patrick at PTE would help.

Hopefully you will get a good answer from them.

Were any rebuilt? Both bought new with those wheels?

My buddy's turbo was new, mine was bought off of the board here and was new last August(I hope......)

The new GT wheel only uses 10 fins. Perhaps you got the new wheel and your buddy got the old one.

I hope that is the case. Is it possible the turbo is a pt-52 instead?

Sorry, I misread what you said. Apparently it is your buddies that is the new one and has 11 fins....I had misread that it was yours that was new.
