what is the best way to hookup cooler

when installing a large tranny cooler, should you still run it thru the radiator? or bypass the radiator all together,or does it matter at all?
thanks i am installing it tomorrow
also if still utilizing the stock cooler (in rad) which line is one going back to the tranny?

Keep the stock hooked up and the top line coming out of the radiator goes back to the trans. alan
