I'm planning on repaining some underhood metal peices such as the radiator support. What is the correct paint color to use. i'll be using rattle cans not a spray gun.

The Krylon black "semi-flat" looks a bit better than conventional semi-gloss, to my eye, when I've used it.

Eastwood also makes some paints that might be appropriate, and many like their products ... I simply haven't had an opportunity to see for myself.
Underhood Black Semi Gloss
Eastwood Company: Auto Tools, Body Repair, Classic Car Restoration, House of Kolor Paint, Powder Coating

If any bare metal is exposed, sand lightly & spray a good self-etching primer (eg, SEM). These types of primers adhere better.

But if you can afford the cost and downtime, professional powder coating would be far more durable and spill-resistant than any spray can product.

Thats kind of a loaded question. Correct? The radiator support and the steel inner fenders were dipped in water based epoxy. If you look at an original part you can see the finish is almost transparent and has a brownish tint.Plus there are runs on the parts if you look close. Kind of hard to duplicate that with a spray can. Any semi-gloss black will work if you're not going for points.
