What is the nicest complement you've had on your car?

Mine car had 49k on it when I bought it but it looked like 9k. I had gone to the grocery store when an older couple asked what dealer I had bought it from. I was astonished to learn they were asking because they thought it was a brand new car even though it was 17 years old.

I was a gas station talking to a guys with a LS1 Trans Am...He was talking about his big stall and HUGE Drag Radials, cool exhaust, you braggin.

We pulled onto the road I got up next to him and nailed it at about 15 MPH...He did to, he spun a bit I got about a car on him and held it till about 100 MPH.

We shut down he rolled down his window and shouted, "That thing is FAST!!!!".

Best thing anyone ever said about my car.

i was thinking of some way to get traction bars or a cage in my car the guy who installs custom roller cages for these cars told me he would not dare to cut into my car to put in a roll cage cause it was too nice, needless to say he turned down $700.00 dollars of custom work.

The coolest thing ever was when I was 18 and had just bought my first GN. I was out cruising Main St. (first time I ever did that) and racing (read: embarrassing) everything that pulled up beside me at the stoplights. The cruising turn around point was at a King Soopers grocery store on the north end of town. My buddy is with me as we pull into the parking lot and there is a huddle of about 15 girls. One of the girls turns around and sees us pulling in and she flips back around to face the others and whispers (but we hear her) 'That's that car!' and the whole crowd of chicks turned and stared. One of the coolest moments of my life.

A guy was gawking at my 66 Pro Street Chevelle with his jaw dropped and smashed into the car in front of him.

With the GN, just a lot of "nice car" and the Monte thing.

Y'all have to be kidding right?!? People mistake your cars for Monte Carlos?!?
Now, don't get me wrong, I like Montes as well, but if you ask me they look nothing alike. I have people calling my Formula a Camaro all the time, but I just figured people would have been able to tell the difference between a GN and a Monte.

Oh, and the nicest thing someone's said about my car was at a car show, the guy just looked me in the face and asked, "How much do you want for it".

I was at a gas station and a guy in a Dynan M5 pulled up and started asking me questions about my car. He left shaking his head saying the Grand National is a car he has always wanted but never had the opportunity to purchase one. He said my car was a beautiful and that I was a lucky guy for having it.

I guess I think this is the nicest compliment I have had because it was so nice and came from someone sitting in a $80,000+ car.

This is ALL too common. People really don't know better. Although, I had a bit of a funny switch. My father and I get our hair cut at the same place and the guy there has known us both for years. My father drives a blue Monte Carlo SS and I drive the GN. My barber was talking to me the other day and asked... "How's your dad and his blue Grand National?"

Nicest compliment I ever got??? Wow, that's a hot girl in the passenger seat!! Oh, nice car too!

I had some gangbangers the other week yelling at me to get up out of my Monte and offering me $600 for it.

There was another guy walking across the street that also yelled out "Nice Monte, what year is that, 88?" I just rolled my eyes and turned the corner.

i don't know if it was the nicest compliment , but one of the coolist thing was when i was racing in saga bay( homestead,fl -street race) i was lined up with a mustang who was burning out( wimpy too) so i start smokeing my tires when all of a sudden everyone there came rushing up to see what car was smokeing the tires that good and i heard one of the guys say
" oh my god dude it's a buick! " they were all shocked, i beat the mustang ( but it was a good race we did it twice) and had no one else step-up that night but i had alot or people asking questions all night long

oh man, i had an agruement with a guy one night, he was trying to tell me my car was a monte carlo, i just shook my head... wanted to hit him.. hahaha

i get the monte thing A LOT ...

but a guy on a loud LOUD harley passed me on the weekend and gave me the thumbs up.. haha.. i thought that was pretty cool!

One of the best compliments I ever got on my GN was right after I had ran a 740i BMW (a black $75-80k car that is pretty wicked in its own way).

The guy rolls down his window and leans over to shout out at me at the next light (after I had totally demolished his ego in his new BMW that still had the 30 day temporary tags on it) and says -

"What the hell do you have in that thing - a jet?"

He gave me a thumbs up and drove away. I'll never forget it.

One of the nicest complements (well I consider it one) I've ever got was I was at a local cruise.. 2 older black males walked up to my car.. they looked.. and walked around it several times taking the entire car in... Then the one points at the engine and says (very loud) you see this mofo... this mofo is one bad mo fu*ken car! This mofo is bad as $hit! Look how bad this mofo is!! This mofo will kick the **** out of ever car in this lot! (while his friend shakes his head yes and keeps saying uh huh uh huh uh huh) Over and over both of them kept screaming to each other and pointing all over the car... This mofo is bad a$$!! and when I say mofo they were saying the entire word! and it was loud! People all around just kept looking at the 2 of them.. I was off to the side afraid to come near my car laffing my a$$ off. One of my friends said go walk over there so I did and he said "this yo car?" I said "yes it is".. He said... "This is one bad MOFO!" And shook my hand and walked away with his friend looking back at the car the entire time pointing at the other cars in the cruise and sayin to his friend.. that mofo back there will kick the $hit out of all these junkers! Man I wish I had a video camera to record that!! I guess after all that I considered it a complement! I very quietly snuck away from the cruise when it was done figuring everyone there would want to race me just to prove a point! lol But that was my best complement to date
