What is this???

I just came across what looks like a hydraulic pipe and don't know what it is for or why it's not connected. Does anyone know what it is for and where it goes? It's located below the AC compressor and runs across the cross-member with 2 other pipes, one being the front right brake line. Can I leave it like it is?

Thanks Keith. There's a Racetronix fuel line kit on the car so I will leave the old pipe as is.

Thanks guys. Once you told me what it was, it made sense. I thought the connector was further back so that didn't dawn on me.
