whats the name of the half cylinder looking thing mounted right on the heater motor housing? it has two lines runnig to, it at least it used to, and the mount feet on mine were broken. wonderin if i can just discard it or try and fix the feet and lines? Thanks

It's just a vacuum reservoir. It stores vacuum to operate the AC controls while the car is under heavy throttle. You need it or the AC/heater will do weird things when you get on the gas.

hahaa

mine is the exact same way. just leave it alone, it will be fine where it is, just make sure the vaccumm hoses dont get pinched/bent etc.

what if they are broken? (ooops)ill have to look at it again, but i think the plastic broke off on the resevoir. I gotta "get in the Zone, Autozone" this weekend and try and get it fixed back up. thanks for the replys. There are 2 lines right? sittin here i think one went around to the cruise control but i cant remember where the other one went to. wish i could find a schematic of it, looked on gnttype and couldnt find it and its not in the hot air basics on this site either thats why i didnt think it was too important and been puttin it off. Thanks for help.

one line comes from the cruise control, the other line goes behind and under the blower motor and is plugged into a rubber grommet that goes into the car, near the ECM. Another line comes out of that grommet and it connects to the heater valve behind the turbo. Hopefully they havent been pulled out of the grommet because its a biotch to get them back in. Don't ask me why i know...
As long as the unit itself isnt damaged dont worry about it, just make sure the lines are connected, and stay connected, or youll have A/C and heater problems.

Oh, u broke it? I hope you find a replacement somewhere. If you find it retail anywhere, let me know. :D

no problem. gonna hit the car good this weekend with 3 days off and thewife aint gotta work either. Ill let ya know what i got. thanks for the replys man.
