I have a mix of everything - Mostly craftsman... but I recently bought a Husky wrench set from home desperate for my work truck. You can hold and use them side by side with a snap on and not tell them apart.

I try to get anything I can in Klein - the hardness of a Klein tool is extraordinary... I engrave ALL of my tools and can barely scratch my Kleins.

The price of Snap-on is rediculous:rolleyes: ... but I do love my dial tourqe wrenches:D

I have a favorite 3/8 drive ratchet that an inlaw bought as part of a set - it's a Popular Mechanics from wally world - 10 years ago. Still working perfect today. I love how little "backpressure" it takes to turn it, you know when a ratchet just turns the bolt back-and-forth well, this one doesn't do that. It is the smoothest ratchet I have aver used - Craftsman, mac, snap-on, husky, etc

I'm a tool junkie. 80% of my tools are MAC, 15% Snap-on and the other 5% are specialty brands. If I had all the money I've spent on tools over the years I could buy 2 low mile GNX's:D

SloGN is on to something

Most of my tools to include my roller box combo came from Craftsman. I have a SnapOn box on the bench. It is so nice to be able to just walk into Sears and walk out with about any tool you need, any day of the week.

But this last year I have picked up some Stanley tools and I have been VERY impressed with the quality of their tools. They may be the best quality for the money anywhere. Now when it comes to giving tools as a gift, I find myself wrapping up something made by Stanley. And pick something up for myself at the same time.

Favorite junk yard tools? King Tony from the Virginia Agra Supply. Pretty well made tools, cheap. You can take a lot of them to the U-Pull-It yard and never worry about abusing or losing them. Leave your expensive tools in the garage. That guy a couple rows over pulling a part needs a tool. It sure is a lot easier to be the good guy and loan it to him when it is a King Tony tool and not a Snap-On.
