Guys, trying to decide if i should blow more money on an intercooler upgrade or for something else on the money pit. With my Alky Control, will i see an improvement over the stock intercooler if i were to get a stretched or front mount? My thinking is the Alky has a cooling effect on the intake charge and therefore the intercooler upgrade may not help as much...

Thoughts?

I think it will depend on how much boost you are running and want to run.

Just adding a duttwiller neck to a stock IC is a good start if mostly start.

27 psi on a GT3255 with stock (i think) heads. Engine was rebuilt before i bought it...

I buy some better tires :D

A stretch stock location will allow the turbo to work better. But done for pressure drop not cooling issues.

thanks Julio. I am taking that as not being cost effective

what does it run now ??[/QUOTE

not sure, my tranny was already on it's last leg before I installed my alky kit and now it has no legs.

Ic

The stock IC is so under rated, its been high 10s and low 11s. And thats back before alky was popular. The Razor kit i am sure wouldve made that combo go faster. Benji from Augusta Ga went 10:90s one year at the Nats in his TTA with the stock IC so it can be done.
