I'm a young guy, only 19 years of age and I own a GN. I know the GN is from the 80's and a lot of you guys are probably 30 or older and grew up during the 80's with all the hair bands and rock 'n' roll. Well, I was at my summer job today and I heard the song "Here I Am" by the Scorpions and thought that it was the perfect song for my car. I can just picture myself, but likely a redneck guy from Alabama with a mullet and those cop sunglasses (Joe Dirt-like), rolling through a parking lot or a popular hangout with the t-tops off blasting the music. I'm not really into this music that much as it's not my generation but doesn't that sound like the perfect song for rolling around in the GN? It would get me so pumped!!!!!!

What are some songs that you guys like to listen to while driving the GN or what is the perfect song that would get you pumped while cruising in the GN?

The End of Heartache from Killswitch Engage! and A Rememberance Ballad from Atreyu!

I jam out to Kelly Clarkson!

No, j/k. But mostly metal/rock (Pantera, Metallica, SOAD) or west coast rap:eek: Definitely no country.

I'm 33, grew up in the 80s, and I hate most of the hair bands of that era.

AC/DC Back in Black.

Motley Crue, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Metallica, etc. Im 30 so I grew up listening to these bands. I guess you could say Im stuck in the 1980's.

Best music is the sound of a well tuned and good running LC2!!

Music

Im a lil disappointed guys. No one said George Thorogood "bad to the bone"?? Thats one. For some strange reason like to listen to Freestyle. If no one knows it its hard to explain. Its a late 80s early 90s genre. If youre a NYer the you know exactly what Im talkin bout. All the Brookly Queens uys know. Anyways. Love some Matalica doors stones led zep. All dpends on my mood for that day. Enter sAndman and Sad but true can easily get me going...

Oh man, you said freestyle! While I don't really listen to that anymore I grew up with that in high school, was really popular down here in So Cal. Oddly enough my wife still listens to my old freestyle CD's.

I listen to alot of hardcore, speed, death metal but not in my GN. When it was running thats what I listened to, the turbo whistle. Plus big speakers just add weight. :D

the sound of turbo wanting to suck the car in frt of u in and spit out the exhaust, have a radio, but never turn it on, rather listen to the pur of my engine... i got the family car to listen to music in...nothin like the kids encouraging u to go fast, dad make it make that noise that scares people when u let off next to there car, LOL , anything but country though

My niece noticed the boost gauge once, now every time she is in the car its "uncle boost boost BOOST!" :D

off the top of my head:

"Flirtin' with Disaster" Molly Hatchet
"Cold Sweat" Thin Lizzy
"Let it Roll" Little Feat
"Fuel to Burn" Koko Taylor
"Promised Land" Elvis
"Low Rider" War

Almost anything by Thorogood, The Ramones and ZZ Top from "Eliminator" and prior is a good choice as well
