We are thinking of getting a classic 1960's era boat with and old school evinrude or something like that motor on it for 750 bucks with a trailer. I am looking for something to tow it with.

the regal.... out of the question. I was thinking is a 4 banger truck too underpowered or is a damed old dog got excited van appropriate enough...

I am also looking for a kick around truck maybe or some ideas about what is appropriate enough to haul a boat and possibly my car...
btw you dont know me... i will/have towed large trailers with cars before:biggrin:

1994 chevy s10 blazer '94 Chevy S10 Blazer
1965 chevy c10 pickup 65' Chevy 3/4 Truck`
1973 chevy pickup !!!1973 CLASSIC CHEVY PICKUP!!!
1978 bronco 1978 ford bronco
1970 ford f250 1970 Ford F250
1971 ford f100 71 Ford F-100
1996 chevy lumina reliable chevy cheap!!!!!!!!

the last one was a joke:biggrin: or was it....

Just make sure it is a V8 with proper towing capacity... There are a few on the list that would work!

The S-10 might work just depends on the size of the boat...

Old 60s era eh? chances are the waterpump impeller is shot and them old evinrude monstrosities are a bitsh to change em out, the transom prolly got termites.. the bad list goes on and on.

Does this boat have Fins? if so then might be worth looking into.. if not

Save your 750 and get a nice Canoe insted of an old eyesore... unless its a Chris Craft Mahogany boat for the 750.00

what you need is a custom 1962 Chevrolet Impala:eek::eek::eek: like this one on the 2010 PowerTour:p - oh and he went down the 1/8 mile towing too... that was a sight:eek:

I would get a 3/4 ton truck with a V8. Pulling a hill with anything smaller you might as well walk.
Those old outboards are expensive to tune/repair and the Feds are banning them on federal lakes. I don't think there is a lake in CA where a 2stroke outboard is allowed anymore.
