Ok, I want to maximize my current combo with some new things. I have a te60 (about 24psi), 009's, 3"dp, no cat, hooker cat back, jl street chip, alky, torque converter lock up, adj fuel regulator, 2800 stall, tranny cooler, tb coolant bypass, and scanmaster 2.1 for tuning. Plugs/wires and some sensors have been changed. I'm not sure on the cam but I'm gonna measure it, and I have a poston 107 here that can go in. I was thinking of getting some things from this list: RJC powerplate, shift kit, bigger tb, possibly mounting my intercooler front mount style, new chip. Out of this stuff which would be best to do for starters? Any other ideas?

RJC power plate RJC power plate never had one just a plenhum spacer put one on and WOW like a brand new car..no smoke at start up ? idles smoother accelerates like an ape. and all for $50 cannot beat it.

From that list possibly the PP(although this is the first I've ever heard of it making a car stop smoking) and the adjustable timing alky chip maybe the shift kit. I would forget the tb and intercooler mod altogether.

So seems to be the pp. I'll probably do that and get a shift kit cause it's a little mushy.

Directscan, will be the most important mod you can make to a TR. You can really max out your combo with this thing, without it you are just guessing on your tune. Also get an alky kit, with alky chip and yes a RJC power plate is an excellent investment. Get in touch with Razor at Alky Control, he is a great source for products and tuning advice.

Tv cable is adjusted correctly, fluid is full and still red. I already have an alky kit, but no alky chip. As far as tuning I have a scanmaster to let me know what's going on.

Scanmasters nice but think how much nicer it would be to have a total detailed record of the entire run you could analyze later to figure out any tuning issues. Also those DS records can help your preferred chip vendor to customize a chip to your combination. You will notice on here that all of the guys getting the most out of these cars are running direct scan. GNsnake is dead on in suggesting DS to maximize your combo even though it wasn't on your list.

Well I guess I'll have to add ds to the list. You need a laptop to run that correct?

Directscan

Yes you need a laptop to run DS. You don't have to go out and by a new laptop, I picked up one for $40 bucks and it works fine. I have DS and a Scanmaster. The scanmaster is okay for monitoring after you have fined tuned with DS, but it is nothing close to a DS to see what your car is really doing. It's the best $250 you could ever spend on a TR or a car with a TR drive train. Get a TurboTweak for your alky kit, you'll like it alot.
