I am gonna be running some 11's here real shortly and my tranny to my knowledge is bone stock. I have had a front mount tranny cooler since day one (25k miles) and now I am at 85k miles with not a hint of tranny problems. I was thinking about installing the PTS shift kit and pressure regulator. I plan on getting the motor and tranny rebuilt next winter so I don't want to do any heavy modifications to it right now. Are these the only two mods I need right now? Will my tranny be ok handling 11 second passes? It's not like I race my car every weekend...mostly street driven.

What boost timing tires and track setup will you be using?

I raced my car for the first time last year with a 142K mile tranny and did fine. Cooler on it at 15K miles. :)

Ended up with mid 12's then rebuilt the tranny and did the converter.

I think you will be fine with your current combo. and stock tranny with cooler.

Have a PTS type rebuild done next year with a good converter.

Just my .02 for the infrequent racing you plan to do. :)

i shall be running 23-25 lbs of boost on a 93 octane 22 degree timing chip with dual nozzle alky...i also will be running 28x9x15 slicks

i think i will do the shift kit and regulator pump and leave it alone until the rebuild...
