with the line off, what should i set my fuel pressure at with the greentops 42.5lb bosch injectors?

you should have received base fuel pressure settings from your chip maker.........in most cases 42-45 lbs is a good place to start....if your chip is not programmed for your injectors, all bets are off

wiked87.....

I have the same identical injector.........Start with 44psi static and see if your car likes it, and adjust from there..HTH

hey slownomo..

I talked to Lou and my 31FP line on its normal, he compensated by putting tons of fuel on the chip, which in terms lets me run lower FP on the line.. :) works better for me and it gives my Fuel pump longer life span..

huh?

Lou who?

even a stock, non adjustable FP regulator will show more pressure than that at idle

something isn't right

(your fuel pump runs the same all the time regardless of regulator setting)

well..

for some reason my has always been set at 36 line off, 31 line on, and i have never had any leaning problems with the car, the 02's are always on the 790-850 range at WOT with 22 pounds of boost, should i keep it the way it is or move it up like everybody says to 42 or 44 psi..

it depends strictly on your chip.....although that seems very low

who's chip?

his name is Lou Czornota from lake forest.

The guy is a legend, and held many records in the 8 second range back in the mid and early 90's...he told me i don't need to have my fuel pressure set that high because he gave it plenty of fuel on the chip,I guess it has something to do with the injectors duty cycle, all i can say is, i have never ran into a lean problem and the fuel pressure has always been in the 30-31 range with line on.. so he must know what he is doing.. the car is really responsive and it runs great, but because people keep pestering me about my FP being too low i thought i ask around..

well, if that is the way the chip is calibrated, set it that way and go with it!
