what size carb should i use?

im currently using a 600cfm holley and i think its a little big. Can i just jet this one down enough or should i pick up a smaller carb?

if your using the 600 on the 3.8 then yes thats a little to much.i use a holley 4160 390 cfm on my 3.8 and it works great.

i say about 390 to 425 CFM ,that is if its a 3.8 N/A

how do i find out my max rpm? no gauge and its a 1984 regal

Is your car drivable? If so install a tachometer, and find out the easy way.

Try 4,000 & 5,000 and see how different they are.
