That's what I've run for 7 or 8 years and I'm happy with them.

Get a set of drag radials. There are guys running 8's on radials these days. If you want a radial tire that performs like a slick look into Hoosiers also known as a "W" tire. 275/50/15

I never had any trouble hooking with a "little" 28 x 9 MT ET Drag slick on a stock 15x7 T wheel.

Unless you're making BIG power---I like Goodyear 28X9--decent fit on a 7in. rim

My 60 foot times were 1.65 to 1.71 with MT 255/60 drag radials launching at around 5 psi. Drove 2 hrs to the track and 2 hrs back home. I'm running stock T wheels.
