right now i have a 3000 stall and i'm about to put a te64 w/ a .82 housing on it. will i be able to spool this turbo with my current stall?

i found that it takes a 3300 but does anyone know how the spool would be with a 3000 for the time being

If you are just flatfooting it from a stop it will take approx 3-4 seconds for the boost to come on. If you get up on the converter to 3000 rpm lag will not be an issue with street tires.

I have a 66 b.b. and a art car 9'' 3400, That is not enough stall for even the b.b. turbo

What chip? My Extender chip spools pretty quick. Quick spool feature?

I run a T64E with a .63 housing. My current converter is less than 3000 stall. Although it takes a second to spool, I fry the tires by the top end of 1st gear.....

When I run a non-extender chip, I do have slower spooling. Also, I run a .63 exhaust housing which is better down low. I went with tighter converters because of excessive slippage on the top end with ones I have tried. Although it doesn't spool like a stocker, I am still able to get full boost in 1st and lose a street race because the tires can't hold.

really? many many people say other wise, im just reading from the past postings on this subject, NOT from my own experience.

Well I have raced the car for about 1 1/2 years and to spool with this setup I have to have full slicks and start giving it gas till it shakes, With drag radials you have to start the tires to spining to get it spooled and then you just smoke the tires, The most I can go is 5lbs of boost and that is not enough to bring the car out of the hole, This is just from my experience with my car, Others might be diff.
