im running 235-55-16 goodyears on all corners , they come into the yard alot on 4th generation camaros and are a suitable equivalent to the 215-65-15 for speedo
on mine the fronts rub a little at full turn at the rear of the wheelhouse but my rims are empei (look like GTAs except where center meets outer ring and use the kirban type center caps
) with less backspace so they stick out a little further than the GTAs

Not many options for our 16" wheels. I'm running 245x50x16 Firestone Firehawks on mine. 255x50x16 is about the widest I can find.

Great tire for handling, ride and wet weather. Best of 1.95 sixty foot times with full street air pressure. 5 years and 25k miles I'm still happy with 'em. Although a fresh set of shoes would be nice.

You don't want to go past 255 on an 8 inch rim.

Optimal width for steering response is 235. The GNX had 245s on the front and 255s on the back.

If you go past 255, you should step up to an 8.5 or 9 inch rim.

i just put my old camaro rims on the car billet centerlines with 245-50-16's work great handeling difference is un real fronts rub just a little at full turn but not too bad definately worth it., now i just need to get some new tires,
