What Spark Plugs?

I am running a fairly stock 87 setup, the only mods I have are red stripe injectors, KB fuel pump, regulator, and a Caspers 6 position chip.

What are the recommended spark plugs? Platinum? Is one brand better then another?

Good old AC-Delco CR43TS plugs do fine....

Gap them at a tight .035.

From my experience, there is none better than NGK-UR5 gapped at .035--.032

How much of a difference between .035 and .032 gap? What symptons would one be having to try one gap or another?

from what I read on the threads about plugs, gap plugs at .035 for 13 sec and up cars and .032 for 12 sec and lower cars. Also gap at .032 when running boost over 20 lbs. Hope that helps

Just say NO to Platinum plugs, they suck.

Anywhoo, I have no trouble running 24psi. boost with alky. on the street with a tight .035 which means a .0345" gapper on AC CR43's.

Someday I will try the NGK's they worked well in my old Honda.

Breaking up under high boost signals time for some change in plugs, coils, gaps. etc.
