what the biggest a pt-52 can be upgraded to

Technically, due to the small shaft of the turbine wheel, you could have it upgraded to a PT6776H non ball bearing turbo, as the bearing housing I believe is the same as used on the 6776H. Although it could be expensive and here's why:

Dog ear bracket
Parts needed for upgrade.
Bearings, oil seals, retaining rings, 360* thrust bearing, backing plate, compressor cover, compressor cover backing plate clamps, backing plate bolts, 90* hose barb fitting, compressor wheel, compressor to turbine wheel nut, P-trim turbine wheel, heat shroud, turbine housing, turbine housing clamps, turbine housing bolts, oil return gasket, oil feed fitting, new wastegate actuator with correct clamps to mate up to the compressor cover you choose. Basically everything would be changed, so it could be expensive.
It would be much cheaper to upgrade it to a PT6152E as technically only the compressor side components would be changed if the CHRA and turbine wheel are in good shape.

Other than that, I've been playing on the streets with Vettes, Stangs, F-bodies. I ran into a couple of local boys with a mid 10 second Black '93.5 Turbo Supra tonight tho. Fortunately I was able to determine what was up with it before I got my tail handed to me royally. They were cool. I talked to them for about 20 minutes, they told me that it had run a previous best of a 10.65 @ 140 with the old turbo. It had a SP76 GTS on it. (PT76 GTS with a .96 A/R) I was like,
yep, I knew not to mess with that one. The big give away was the sound it was making and the Street ETs on mix matched wheels. That and the smell of burnt C16. :redface: They were cool tho. I'm saving her for BG now.
