Hey,

after taking my gn out on a drive today trying to convince my wife its not that bad of a money pit, it started acting alittle weird....again. It seems that only (and I do mean only) when you have been driving on the highway (for about 30 or so minutes) boosting, (especially on the highway above 60 mph) the transmission seems to want to stay in whatever gear too long or too short. This only seems to happen when you're accelerating between shifts. To be more specific, alot of times it feels as if the car is "shuddering" when it comes to a stop or when it starts to accelerate. Driving at lower speeds (around town) it dosent seem to do it, and the problem goes away after the car sits for a while. I checked the fluid and it wasn't even that hot from driving and only had a slight smell! Any ideas?

Thats what I was thinking but i wasn't sure...

Where can I get another one and will driving it before it gets fixed hurt it anymore? I need this car for transportation and i certainly don't wanna cause any further problems....

I had a similar problem one time.
I changed fluid, overfilled 1 quart, and put a cooler on.
I don't know which one helped but the problem went away.

Ok...

I plan on changing the fluid, and the TCC solenoid, should be pretty easy...but how can I be sure that is what the problem is? And, if that solenoid IS going out, is driving it back and forth to work hurting my trans? I just go it rebuilt not 30,000 miles ago and have never had any problems with it...Sorry if these seem like stupid questions, and thanks for the help!
