What to do

Well first of all decide what you want to change. First thing personally I would do since the motor is out of a car is to freshin it up. If budget permits even take the engine complete apart. Send it off to a machine shop" A GOOD MACHINE SHOP" get it honed, machine the rods, and crank. Magnaflux everything you can. Maybe even o-ring your block for copper gaskets, blue print the engine, zero deck it,balance it. Put arp studs all the way through and torque every bolt down to specs and losen them and retighten the bolts to spec. If budget allows some port job, valve job to the heads if so get some gn1 heads. And a v-3 intake by tm and whatever turbo that will fit your combo. Remember your gonna need a bigger fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure reg, bigger injectors, new chip"jay carter",headers"poston, atr"down pipe,up pipe, crossover, And with lots of tunning you got yourself a pretty damn good hot air. And with lots of tunning you might even see the mid 11's or faster with a good combo and I cant stress this enough you can put the greatest parts in the world on your car but with out extensive tunning your not gonna get your car running good. I learned this the hard way.

Since you dont have much money right now i say, new bearings rod and main, since the timing chain has cracks in it you will need a good one. A nice cam will weak the motor up with some new lifters and valve springs. All new gaskets , since the heads are off lets gasket port or have some head work and intake work till you get some money for a good intake. A good fuel pump and reg is a must and hot wire it to.

Weld the headers up real good till you get some good ones. And most of all a nice scan tool is a must to get it to move.

Now the big question is what way do you want to go, non intercooled or intercooled. And how fast do you want to go.

I say a nice ta49 would do you good or a nice 60's if you really want to move down the road. Turbo motions intercooler kit would be nice to have on there , with a power strock intercooler:D .

Get a little work done to that tran before its to late. And keep it cool with a trans cooler.

sorry nothing to do so i thought this would get people writing.:)

One more thing , get a posi or you wont move with that peg leg. :D
