Last fall my car started getting a little soft on power, still cruised OK. I just got around to pulling the engine to fix some oil leaks and check things out. Well, i found two cam lobes pretty much gone. So i am going to freshen her up a bit. I was looking at cams and would like some opinions on the comp 212/212 flat tappet cam. How does it idle and drive ability.
I would like to go roller, but I am on a strict mandate to keep this engine as cheap as possible. She was less than thrilled to see the Buick scattered around the garage. Just because the engine in my Camaro ended up being $7200 I have to tell the wife where my money is going.
