This is whats going on
200r4 behind a 500Hp/125 shoot of NOS BB455 Buick in a 79 Regal with 3:73gears.
The 200r4 was rebuilt with GM parts BUT with a standard valve body.It shifted good but under torque was sloppy going into 2nd.After following the do's and don't from the people in the know on this board now for the last year I can see why it's like this.
So I picked up a GN tranny for it's internals.I have swapped out the governor and the servo.
Upon removing the pan on the standard tranny I found a Trans-go shift kit in it.Now there is a plate that says[NOYOGUPPY/Reverse fix/GIL YOUNGER].Since I don't have the instruction manual for the kit and also it looks like they make 2 different kits for each [hi-po-standard]valve bodyI don't know if I should get a set of instructions for this shift kit and just transfer everything from it to the GN valve body or buy another or better kit for the GN valve body.
I would like to just re-use the Trans-go kit if possible so I would need to find a installation book or if I need something else what would be a recommendation?

get an art carr valve body kit and put it in your gn valve body - it will take care of your 2nd to 3rd shift -- all the shifts will be very firm to all gears-- they make it for both lu and non lu so order the right one for your converter

ART CARR

This thing going on between the 2 Art Carr names has got me a bit confused. When this tranny was being built I had the tranny shop order me the harden imput shaft.Well they order it from Art Carr and it took forever to get to them. They then find out that there is 2 Art Carrs businesses out in Cali. This was about 3 three years ago.
I would be interested in getting the instruction sheet from you LV GN .I don't personnally have a FAX number but I could get it sent
to a local business FAX number on Monday.I'll PM you with that FAX number when I get it.
Many thanks for your time to do this.
So that tran-go shift kit isn't the best and go with the Art Carr one.
