i had picked up the gn about a year ago, had numerous problems and finally got the car running pretty good, but i believe my scanmaster has been stolen and i dont know what i should set the fuel pressure to, if it helps any it is a 86 with a t66 turbo .

i am in the process of getting another scanmaster if i cannot find mine but was wanting to know what would be a good pressure to set it at and be safe, i am not planning on taking the car out and killing it i just have a event coming up that i really need to drive the car to.

Contact who made the chip your car has for the tech on it. typically most aftermarket chips are 43-45 line off.. typically doesnt mean all the time.

i definately would call but this car has been passed around like a ho in a trailer park. i bought it from a guy who only drove it once and he bought it from a guy that never drove it other than to make sure it ran, who bought it from a guy that bought it from a guy that blew a ton of money on it in a short period of time and then sold it for something different. ive got a parts list of everything that one of the owners told me he knew about but no clue on the chip, i will be getting my own before long, as well as a scanmaster if i cant find mine, i think it has been stolen not sure yet:(

i have had a few turbo cars of which i now have 2 but this car ive found to have its pros and cons, decently easy to replace parts but its a whole new ballgame to me to work on it lol.

If you dont know what chip is in the computer, or what its specs are. Stop... buy a chip, and get the settings.

Racing an engine with unknowns=blown up engine. The chip is the heart that controls timing and fueling. Wrong timing, wrong fueling.. kaboom

There should be an ID sticker on the chip. If you post the sticker info, we may be able to ID it for you.
