I installed my kit Saturday and the box has already fallen off 3 times. I cleaned both sides thoroughly before applying the velcro. It hasn't got hot yet and I know when summer rolls around it is sure to fall off constantly. Anybody use anything else to hold it on?

I made a metal bracket that is in the shape of a J and losened the dash pad slid it in where I wanted it and then tightened the pad down then applied new velcrow to that, no problems yet and you can't even see the bracket. HTH

what I did

was use 2 strips of velcro, but before I applied it I heated it w/ a heat gun(hair dryer may work). Mine is mounted under the dash and has never came off. Hope this helps,,,,,,,, Ross

Two things for the velcro to work: Clean surface, and heat. The velcro supplied with the kit never worked well for me. I bought some more at Home Depot and it has held ever since.

same thing here...

As stated above try heating the sticky side of the adheasive with a lighter or heat gun then reapply.
