Alright guys what should I do? Doing a hybrid swap into an 85 MCSS,
ive got a motor, I need a trans...

I dont like to buy things more than once, so what would you do?

I want an automatic overdrive trans with good gear spacing, so dont anybody tell me to use a TH400...

My plans are as follows: NOW: get it running in the car.
Next year or maybe sooner: LOW 11s.s
In the future: 9s on the street

Like I said, if I am one day going to run mid nines or something, what trans would you get? What is it going to cost?

How much power can a 4L80E handle in "stock" form. How much does it to cost build them up?

If you were in MY situation, what would you do?
I am prepared right now to spend up to $2000 for a BUILT trans...

Contact Brian on this bored he can set you up with a 200R4 that will what you want.

4l80e is junk you cant pur more than 500hp to one even when built I have a buddy with one in a truck and it blew up at 540hp at the rear wheels righ ton the dyno case split in 2. He did another and it lasted 8 pass's at the track dead guess whats in his truck now??? Turbo 400 lol

I have one of brians mid grade trans's and he said good to mid-low tens :)
Was $1600 200r4 Hope this helps

Brian was my number one choice and I have actually contact him already about it. I just want to make sure that I am making the right decision.

Sounds like everybody is having good luck with Brian trannies.
Now I just have to find out how long its going to take to get one...

Dont stop posting people, I would love to hear more suggestions.

If you are in Chicago Jimmy's is good. I have two of his billet drum transmissions in my car. I love them so far. Both cars are 11 second cars.

Hey guys, your checks are on the way!;)

Thanks for all you do for me...
Brian

Who ever is building the 4L80E does not know what they are doing! There are ones out there holding up with over 1000 HP in front of them.

x2

Im sure the trans runs great from Jimmys, but who out there is putting down major horsepower on their trannies?

I think I have heard more than enough good things about Brian, so get ready Brian... I am going to order one from you in the next 2 weeks!

I know that 4L60E's are tough stuff, but take a lot to build. John Nguyen has one in his car, and hes ran 10.001@136. If you dont know who im talking about, his car was the one on the Pinks all out that aired thanksgiving.

Also, the 2004r trans can be built tough as nails also. Jason Cramer's (Race Jace/RJC) TSM 9 second car is backing a 2004r.

I think you've already made your decision though on what route to take.
